Insurance Coverage Through mobility

What You Need to Know

Understanding insurance is crucial for working safely and confidently. Here’s everything you need to know about the insurance coverage provided when engaging with mobility, whether you’re a worker, client, or provider.

Am I insured when using mobility?

Yes! All workers engaged via the mobility platform are covered by our comprehensive umbrella insurance policy, which includes:

  • Personal accident insurance: This covers specific injuries, disabilities, or the inability to work, with benefits either paid as a lump sum or monthly to supplement missed income.
  • Public liability insurance: This covers the cost of legal action and compensation claims if a third party’s property is damaged while you’re providing care services.
  • Professional indemnity insurance: This protects against claims arising from bodily injury due to alleged negligence or breach of duty in your care services.

Insurer details:

  • Personal accident insurance: Insured by QBE. Policy number: 30-A058084-PAD.
  • Professional liability and public & products liability insurance: Insured by Lloyd’s of London (S&P rating A+).
Important: Coverage Limitations

It’s crucial to understand that this insurance coverage applies only to work booked and conducted through mobility. Any services provided outside or off the mobility platform are not covered by our insurance policies. Always ensure your work is booked through mobility to maintain your insurance protections.

  2. Complete an incident report. This report is critical for the claims process.
  3. Follow the policy terms, seek medical advice, and notify our insurer, QBE.
  4. Complete the QBE claim form within 30 days of the incident, and provide all requested information, including medical reports.

Should I have my own business insurance?

mobility provides significant coverage, but additional insurance might be right for you.

To answer this question you need to get professional advice. mobility can not advise you on what is right for you from an insurance perspective, we can simply tell you what coverage you have via our policies.  You must determine what you personally need.

If you would like professional advice you should speak with an insurance broker. You can find helpful information on the Insurance Council of Australia’s website.
