Creating a Worker Profile on mobility

Follow these steps to create your worker profile:

  • Step 1: Download the App (1 minute)

    Download the mobility app and select “Create new account”. You’ll then be prompted to share your best contact information and create a password. This should be something you’ll easily remember, have a minimum of 10 characters and include:

    • a lowercase letter
    • an uppercase letter
    • a number
    • a symbol
    Select your profile type: “I’m a Worker”
  • Step 2: Create Your Profile (1 minute)

    This is where we will collect your personal contact info:

    1. Full name.
    2. The gender you identify as.
    3. Date of birth.
    4. Address – You will be asked to enable location services. Please select yes. This is required to clock in and out of activities.

  • Step 3: Set Your Availability (1 minute)

    This is automatically set as 24 hours every day; that way, you’ll see all opportunities, including overnights.

    • Edit your availability by selecting the start or end time and swiping up or down to set your preferred times.
      • If you are available from 7AM -12PM, but also have availability later in the day from 5PM. Select the green Add at the bottom and then the day and times you’re available.
      • Alternatively, delete the entry by selecting the bin icon.

  • Step 4: Work Rights, Qualifications and ABN (1 minute)

    Now we’ll need to find out a bit more about you:

    • Select your work rights from the dropdown list. You must have Australian Work Rights to continue.
    • Let us know how far you’re willing to travel
    • Select the checkboxes that match your qualifications
    • Lastly, we’ll need your Australian Business Number (ABN). Don’t have one? Learn more about ABN here.

  • Step 5: Select Support Types and Rates (1 minute)

  • Step 6: Provide References (1 minute)

    Provide the contact details of two references:

    1. You’ll need at least one reference that is relevant to your work history.
    2. And if you don’t have another work reference, you can provide us with a personal reference.

  • Step 7: Upload Your Profile Picture (30 seconds)

    Selecting a great profile picture:

    • Ensure it’s professional, well-lit, and without filters, hats, or sunglasses (unless for cultural or medical reasons).
    • Choose a recent photo of yourself that clearly shows your face. Avoid group photos or pictures with other people.
    • Make sure the photo is not blurry and is of good quality.
    • Avoid using filters or editing your photo, as this can make it hard for clients to recognize you in person.

  • Step 8: Write a Short Bio (2 minutes)

    Share your experience, but avoid including personal details like full name, age, APRHA registration, or contact details. Need help? You can search existing worker profiles here.

    • Privacy Note: While we encourage you to share information about yourself and your experience in your bio, please avoid including any personally identifiable information like your full name, age, or contact details.   • Step 9: Add Hobbies, Interests, and Languages (1 minute)

    • This helps us match you to opportunities where your language skills could be in high demand.
    • Additionally, some of our clients think it’s nice to have support workers who share interests similar to theirs.

  • Step 10: Upload Documents (3 minutes)

    To get your application verified, we’ll need you to upload the following:

    • Proof of identity (Government ID: Passport, Birth Certificate or Drivers Licence),
    • A valid police check from within the last three months,
    • Any relevant training and certifications,
    • Your proof of vaccination documentation,
    • And any other relevant documentation for the support services you would like to offer.

  • Step 11: Read and Review Terms of Service (2 minutes)

    • Review and understand the terms and conditions outlined in our Terms of Service.

  • Step 12: Read and Review the Code of Conduct (2 minutes)

    • Familiarise yourself with the professional guidelines outlined in our Code of Conduct.

  • Step 13: Verification (Pending) – Add Your Pay Details (2 Minutes)

    While our verifications team is busy checking your documents, we recommend you add your payment and superannuation details. Just head over to the “Payment Details” tab in the menu to get started.

    • 📧 Keep an Eye on Your Inbox: Our team will keep you updated at every step and might reach out if they need more information. Make sure to add us to your safe senders list so you never miss an update.
